Setting up the Interface

1. Before you begin, it is recommended to download a copy of your Navan user list. In the event that you need to revert to the original list, you can do so through a bulk upload.
2. Log into your Navan account on the web.
3. From the main dropdown menu on the left, select Admin, then click on Configuration from the top menu.
4. Click Integrations, and from the HR integrations section, click Setup HR Integration.
5. Select Personio using the search bar or scrolling through the list. ​​​​​​
6. Enter your API Key and secret from Personio.

Transfer of data

Employee information is transferred from Personio to Navan including:

• Email address

• First name

• Last name

• Status (employee status is active or inactive)

• Company office

How the integration works

• User Provisioning: When you integrate Personio and Navan, new employees are added to Navan when onboarded in Personio - for efficient and accurate onboarding.
• Employee Lifecycle: Whenever employee data is updated in Personio it is also updated in Navan. This ensures your employee information is up-to-date all the time.
• User Deprovisioning: When employees leave the company, the respective Navan account is automatically deactivated based on the termination date in Personio.
